Breast Lift Bloomfield
What is a Breast Lift (Mastopexy)?
A Breast Lift (Mastopexy) is a type of plastic surgery designed to remove excess skin and tissue from breast to improve the appearance of the breast due to sagging or lost volume.
The breast lift is most commonly requested by women that have lost the tone of their breasts to a sagging appearance. They are happy with the size of their breasts but unhappy about the location with a typical downward look to the nipples. Dr. Felice describes the surgical procedure as creating a new skin brassiere.
Breast lift procedures have gone through an evolution in the past few years. Dr. Felice uses the shortest scar possible and shapes the breast so that the upper, inner and outer poles of the breast are full. Other techniques are used to help prevent “bottoming out” of the breast over time. Every effort is made to eliminate the old scars along the bottom of the breast extending toward the breast bone (sternum) and outer chest wall.
