Oversized breasts frequently cause patients a great deal of pain, frustration, and embarrassment. To reduce the size of breasts and alleviate symptoms, we offer reduction mammaplasty.

Two types of tissue contribute to the excess weight of oversized breasts: fatty tissue and glandular breast tissue.

Patients with a great deal of fatty tissue in the breast region are in need of liposuction as part of their reduction mammaplasty. Patients with more glandular breast tissue will need to have it removed using a scalpel, a technique called surgical excision. Excision will also be used for excess skin.

In some cases, a combination of liposuction and excision is required. To find out which techniques will be required for your reduction mammaplasty, speak with Dr. Patrick Felice, an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon. Make an appointment for a consultation – contact our office today.
