What Is Non Ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing?
Non Ablative laser skin resurfacing is used to improve skin texture, erasing fine and deep lines, improving acne scars and bring back a more youthful complexion. Other skin improvements include the elimination of age spots, sun damage and surgical scars.
How Is The Treatment Performed?
A treatment series of 4-6 treatments (spaced 4 weeks apart) will be recommended based on the level of improvement desired. The treatments are performed by trained clinical professionals as an in office procedure. Non Ablative Laser Resurfacing takes less than an hour and is performed with the use of a topical anesthetic to ensure patient comfort.
What Can I Expect After My Treatment?
Most patients experience a blotchy pinkness to their skin with slight swelling. You may experience a warm feeling for a few hours, similar to sunburn. Cold soaks are applied for the first 24 hours as a comfort measure and to help reduce any swelling. The pinkness will dissipate over the next 2-3 days. After 48 hours a powder based mineral make up may be worn to camouflage any remaining pinkness.
