The Photorejuvenation may be just the treatment for you if you
are bothered by fine wrinkles, broken blood vessels, enlarged pores or even just
the overall appearance and texture of your skin. What makes the
Photorejuvenation so innovative is that never before has one procedure been able
to treat such a variety of skin concerns. The Photorejuvenation will...
diminish fine facial wrinkles
improve the appearance of acne scars
diminish areas of discoloration associated with aging or sun damage
diminish the appearance of broken blood vessels
diminish the appearance of enlarged pores
improve the overall texture and appearance of your skin
leave your skin looking and feeling smoother and refreshed
Background of Photorejuvenation ...
The Photorejuvenation was developed after notable improvements in skin texture
were observed in hair removal patients receiving intensified pulsed light (IPL)
treatments. Historically, similar improvements to the skin were only achieved
with laser resurfacing. Laser resurfacing produces deeper, longer lasting
results but requires a long recovery period with many days of downtime. The
Photorejuvenation brings an option to people who may not require such a deep
treatment or are unable to commit to the lengthy recovery.
Who is a Candidate for Photorejuvenation Treatment...
Anyone with fair or medium skin that is bothered by any of the described skin
conditions and is not affected by any disqualifying condition.
Who is Not a Candidate for Photorejuvenation Treatment...
Anyone with naturally dark or tanned skin. Additionally, the Photorejuvenation
can not be performed on individuals who...
have cancerous skin tumors
| are currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the last 12
months |
have certain inflammatory skin conditions
are pregnant or breast feeding
have a history of bleeding problems or thick scars
How Photorejuvenation Works...
By heating the underlying collagen and elastic fibers of the skin the
Photorejuvenation stimulates the production of your own collagen, inducing a
filling effect to fine wrinkles and acne scarring. By virtue of the IPL
settings, broken blood vessels and skin discoloration will diminish in
appearance.
There is no need for anesthesia of any sort with the Photorejuvenation and no
associated downtime. Individuals may experience pinkness of the treated area for
a few hours immediately after treatment, but makeup can be applied and normal
activity resumed.
Results from Photorejuvenation...
Dr. Felice encourages an average of six initial treatments to achieve maximal
results, depending on the individual's skin type and condition. A treatment plan
alternates the Photorejuvenation with Parisian Peel® Medical
Microdermabrasion. The Parisian Peel® system exfoliates and cleanses
the skin which removes the top layer and allows the Photorejuvenation to
penetrate deeper to ensure the most optimal results.
