When you’re recovering from your facelift surgery, you’ll need to keep your head elevated properly. This may require sleeping upright in a recliner. Other options include using a wedge-shaped pillow or two pillows to prop your head up while you sleep.

Proper head elevation is key for at least two weeks after the procedure. If you make sure of this and do not move your head too much, post-surgical swelling will reduce at a faster rate, and your facelift recovery will be as short as possible.
